Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities
Our nurse practitioners provide the full spectrum of medical
oncology care for our patients. This includes writing
prescriptions and admission/discharge orders.
Our NPs' responsibilities include obtaining and
recording each patient's history and physical exam. They prepare
chemotherapy orders, educate patients and their families
regarding diagnosis, test results and chemo regimens, and
provide symptom management and supportive care.
They also see patients on follow-up visits
and help with home care and hospice referrals and coordination.
